Ramadan Food Parcels Appeal For Syria.

The Holy month of Ramadan (Ramazan in Turkey) is fast approaching. According to the Islamic calendar this year Ramadan will begin on 6th June and end on 7th July. This Ramadan, please remember the people of Syria: millions hungry, many thousands literally starving. With your donations, we’ll take food to the hungry and remind Syrians that we stand with them. We’ll be taking Ramadan food parcels into the Idlib province of Syria where there is a shortage of food. Each food parcel is planned to meet the daily calorific requirements to sustain a family of 6 for up to a month. Each parcel consists of: Dates, Figs, Flour, Rice, Sugar, Butter, Oil, Pasta, Bulgur wheat, Lentils, tinned fish, tinned tomato puree, Packet Soups, Tea and Seasonings, and when needed baby milk formula, all purchased locally here in Turkey.

Life has become increasingly harsh for those struggling to survive in Syria. Five years of conflict have destroyed the country’s economy and agricultural production. Recently I have listened, hopelessly, to the stories of parents who have no choice but to put their children to sleep at night with empty stomachs, babies screaming through the night because there is no money or access to milk.

With your help together we can make a difference!

Each parcel costs around 30 pounds (44 USD). If you could spare a lira (pound, dollar) or two that would be a great help. No donation is too small. We urge you to please donate what you can to our food parcel appeal and continue to keep the people of Syria in your thoughts and prayer.
Please use the donate buttons below.Your donations will go a long way to help keep them alive.
